Description
The University of Southern Mississippi has implemented an OER initiative to entice faculty to pen their own open access textbooks. As such, there was an educational need to help faculty understand the copyright concerns surrounding OERs. This presentation will detail some of the basic copyright aspects that all faculty should know relating to the use of copyrighted materials in their courses, and specifically, how resources can be legally incorporated into open textbooks and open educational resources in an IR.
