Description

We all anticipate an extended period of learning when assuming new responsibilities. But when both the coordinator and the manager of your institutional repository (Argo IRcommons) are new and have no documented information about the IR you know that many challenges loom ahead. Policies and processes are vital to a healthy, working repository and should focus on administrating, managing, and performing outreach to the campus community. At the same time we want our faculty, students, and staff to feel comfortable allowing us to showcase their scholarly works in a professional and sustainable manner.

Join us as we share how taming our policies and processes, including interesting challenges and practical steps, taught us what our IR is all about.
