This document examines James Sclater's three song cycles written for solo voice and solo wind instrument: Four Songs on Texts of Emily Dickinson , for high voice and B-flat clarinet; Kinderscenen , for medium voice and flute; and ERA-tic Behavior , for mezzo-soprano and E-flat saxophone or B-flat clarinet.
