Our research interests are diversified, and range from the design of macromolecular segments to synthesis and formation of nano-shapes, or assemblies of nano-arrays on surfaces to molecular spectroscopy and chemical imaging beyond diffraction limits. Our current efforts focus on the development of new generations of stimuli-responsive polymeric materials that exhibit self-repairing attributes, or are capable of autonomous responses. Mimicking Nature-occurring processes and converting them into a lab bench experiment with many unique applications is challenging, but a lot of fun, and highly rewarding. These efforts lead to many unique and useful applications in energy, biomedicine, and sensing technologies.
