This panel discussion, open to campus and community, addresses the impact of The Help, the enormously popular – and powerful – novel by Mississippian Kathryn Stockett. Panelists include the following:
- Ms. Stella Connell, literary publicist and owner of the New-York-based The Connell Agency (www.theconnellagency.com)
- Dr. Frances Lucas, Vice President for Southern Miss Gulf Coast (www.usm.edu/about/administration/vice-president-gulf-coast)

Dr. Kim LeDuff, associate professor of mass communication and journalism at Southern Miss, will moderate the panel and offer opening remarks.
