Abstract
A silver thiazolylurea complex has been used as a host species for nitrate as a 1:1 tweezer and for sulfate and hexafluorosilicate as a 2:1 capsule. Remarkable binding is observed in DMSO for the dianions (SO42− and SiF62−), with solid-state structures confirming the nature of the host−guest complexes.
