Abstract
In today’s continuously evolving workplace, the role of leadership has expanded beyond traditional management competencies to encompass the ability to recognize, navigate, and leverage cultural differences. This quantitative study examines the relationship among perceived leader cultural intelligence, employee workplace well-being, and organizational commitment. Recognizing that workplace well-being and organizational commitment are critical to the overall health and success of organizations, it is essential to gain a greater understanding of the factors that influence these constructs. Accordingly, this study collected from 410 participants to investigate the relationship between perceived cultural intelligence of leadership, employee organizational commitment, and workplace well-being. Employing a correlational research design, the study determined the existence, strength, and direction of relationships among these variables, rather than establishing definitive cause-and-effect outcomes. The target population is broadly defined to enhance generalizability across professional settings and includes any working adult aged 18 years or older who is currently employed in any industry or job capacity (e.g., full-time, part-time, permanent, or contract) within the United States. Using previously validated and reliable instruments, the research seeks to answer two research questions: does perceived cultural intelligence of leaders influence employee organizational commitment, and does perceived cultural intelligence of leaders influence employee workplace well-being? The findings of this study are intended to contribute to the understanding of leadership’s impact on key organizational outcomes and to inform future leadership development initiatives.
