Abstract
Like every other process that is crucial to homeostasis, glucose metabolism is regulated by the endocrine system. There are many hormonesthat impact this metabolism indirectly due to their roles in key processes such as circulation, appetite, or stress response; however, this paper will examine the hormones that directly regulate or impact glucose metabolism. Additionally, an overview of glycemic disorders is provided.
