Abstract
Financial communication between corporations, stakeholders, and government establishes a dynamic system of interconnected relationships. This chapter uses structuration theory to highlight how financial communication produces and reproduces these structures. Virtue ethics is offered as a means of enacting a healthy system. The authors argue that virtue ethics is the only framework that allows for reasonable decision‐making in complex systems.
