Abstract
© 2020 Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Nurse educators recognize a theory to practice gap (TPG) exists and are tasked with finding solutions. Simulation is identified as an active learning strategy that is a promising option for bridging the TPG. This article will present an example of a recognized TPG in a chronic care medical-surgical nursing course and discuss the process utilized to educate nursing students and bridge the gap through simulation.
