Abstract
In this chapter the issue of assessment will be discussed. Challenges to accurate assessment as well as the importance of accurate assessment will be explored. Therapists will be presented with tools necessary for assessment including the semi-structured interview, sex addiction screening instruments and assessment of collateral indicators. Guidelines for assessing sexual addiction will be discussed.
