Abstract
Problems encountered in pre service teachers' expressive language abilities range from minor to fairly significant in junior level courses at The University of Southern Mississippi and more specifically in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education. Many students admit they have problems organizing their thoughts, are unable to solidly support their ideas and are less confident in approaches to effective classroom management incorporating writing and speaking skills. To address these problems, pre service education students are provided opportunities to think responsibly and make decisions utilizing effective communication skills that lead to effective classroom management and increased confidence required for professional educators. © Common Ground, Marilyn Foxworth, J.
