Abstract
The photochemistry of cystine and some of its analogues is reviewed. Topics discussed include the absorption spectra of disulfides, the photochemistry of alkyl disulfides and other more highly substituted disulfides including cystine, photooxidation of disulfides, and photochemical interactions of cystine derivatives with other molecules of biological interest.
