Abstract
Literature can offer a meaningful context for discussing and learning mathematics. Books allow students to view mathematics in a variety of contexts, which can provide a forum for both verbal and written mathematics communication. “Students who have opportunities, encouragement, and support for speaking, writing, reading, and listening in mathematics classes reap dual benefits: they communicate to learn mathematics, and they learn to communicate mathematically”
