Abstract

This study develops and validates a measurement scale for hospitality experience innovation (HEI) from the consumer perspective. Following established scale development procedures, the research integrates a systematic literature review, in-depth interviews, expert panel evaluations, pilot testing, and a large-scale online survey. The resulting 13-item instrument captures four dimensions of HEI: culinary innovation, process innovation, engagement innovation, and socialization innovation. The scale demonstrates strong reliability and construct validity. In addition, results provide evidence of predictive validity by showing that HEI positively influences guests’ behavioral intentions. By conceptualizing hospitality innovation as a multidimensional experiential construct, this study advances innovation research in hospitality and offers a validated measurement tool for both scholarly inquiry and managerial assessment.
