Abstract
The article discusses the poem "Lady Lazarus" by the American poet Sylvia Plath, with particular focus given to the themes of rebirth and creativity, the poem's feminist subtext and use of a female narrator, and poetic structure. The author's argument that the poem synthesizes two contrasting Lazarus characters is also explored.
