Abstract
A constructivist-based intervention known as sandplay is introduced. Historical, conceptual, and practical features of sandplay are reviewed with particular emphasis on sandplay's significant connections to constructivism. The article concludes with an examination of sandplay's unique benefits and the current status of sandplay research.
