Description
When it comes to measuring the success of an institutional repository, one must look at both the big picture, such as the total number of downloads, and the small picture, how the repository content is being used. With Aquila, the IR at Southern Miss, nearing both its tenth anniversary and the big-picture milestone of four million downloads, this is an excellent time to look at how Aquila has promoted the university as well as the value of Open Access scholarship produced by Southern Miss faculty, staff, and students. This presentation will look at the top level data and statistics to see the big picture of Aquila’s reach, while also looking at several individual use cases to demonstrate how Aquila content has benefited individual researchers, scholars, and more.
