Why should researchers at Southern Miss consider publishing their research in Open Access journals? How can faculty determine how to evaluate OA journals when compared to more traditional paywalled publications?
In this session, we will hear from faculty members who have experience with Open Access publishing, editing an Open Access journal, or using open textbooks in the classroom. Panelists will share their experiences, offer suggestions and strategies for others who may want to consider embracing OA for their own teaching and publication and provide strategies going forward to promote the growth of Open Access across campus.
