Description
Migration offers an opportunity to re-evaluate the IR's place within institutional, administrative, faculty, and student targets. Throughout our migration from dspace to bepress, our Digital Archive team was challenged to design a repository that meets the fluid needs of our current and future users. While the original repository instance succeeded in preserving and offering access to university scholarship and history, our future repository also needed greater visual and social capabilities. Our hope is that the new IR will mirror, showcase, and advance institutional efforts. Thus, this poster will provide an overview of migration in the light of policy evaluation and unique institutional needs.
