Description

The repository at the University of North Texas, UNT Scholarly Works, captures and hosts all manner of scholarly content from our faculty, staff, and students, including Open Access (OA) content hosted by other platforms/publishers. We wanted to take a deeper look at the data to learn more about OA publication practices of the UNT community, so we created a system using Zotero and Scopus to harvest, review, and sort three years of OA publication data (2019-2021). We sought to figure out who is publishing OA, where are they publishing, are they self-archiving, and how could we support this group better. This is an ongoing project that we hope to build on and continue to use the data to help us support our community.
