Description
For many librarians and repository managers, open initiatives such as institutional repositories, open educational resources (OER), open data, Open Access publishing, and other related programs are essential components of their day-to-day work. But in order for these initiatives to truly succeed, there must be buy-in from the broader campus community. In this discussion, a panel of academic deans will discuss the primary goals and priorities of their institutions and their responsibilities toward reaching those goals. They will also discuss how some open initiatives intersect with these broader campus goals and invite attendees to think through how they can utilize these connections to gain broader support for open initiatives at their own institutions.
