Abstract
Dr. Brendan Fay presents a talk on "Conspiracy Theories and the Secrets That Only Archives Can Tell."
Dr. Fay has strong interests in (mis)information in closed societies and how conspiracy theories shape popular attitudes towards everyday life within military dictatorships, fascist states, and other authoritarian regimes. He is currently at work on a book manuscript tentatively titled The Power of Conspiracy: Nazi Information Worlds Between Weimar and the Third Reich.
