Abstract
Open Educational Resources (OER) are freely accessible, openly licensed documents and media for teaching and learning that can be reused, modified, and shared. This presentation will introduce school librarians to the wide world of open educational resources for K-12 students. Attendees will leave this session knowing how to find high quality, peer-reviewed OER, how to evaluate them, and how to use and re-purpose them. Attendees will also learn the nuts and bolts of Creative Commons licensing of OER, and the proper attribution of OER materials.
