Abstract

LDR 300 Gulf Scholars Program Curriculum

This course works in conjunction to allow the students to understand what it means to be a leader on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The introductory module introduces the Blue Economy to the students, with a goal of setting a foundation of knowledge about what business occurs on the coast. The “Leadership Ethics” module helps students understand the importance ethics and morality plays in leadership. The “Diversity Challenge” forces students to recognize the importance of diversity of thought and how difficult it is to achieve this diversity.
